Guest Bio: Sheriff Mark Lamb
Mark Lamb was elected as the 24th Sheriff of Pinal County on January 1st, 2017. Sheriff Lamb oversees a county the size of Connecticut and manages nearly 500 employees within the department.
The Sheriff’s Office operates with a 50 million dollar budget which covers all aspects of the Sheriff’s Office to include the Detention Center. The Pinal County Sheriff’s office provides patrol support throughout the county. The PCSO Search and Rescue team, along with the Aviation unit, help with locating anyone lost or stranded and assist with border security operations. The Office also has specialized units, from Narcotics to the Anti-Smuggling Team, to work with our federal partners to combat human and drug trafficking coming through the county from our southern border.
The Pinal County Detention center houses on average 600 inmates a day. The Detention Center participates in the Federal Government’s 287g program. Right now we have six detention officers who have 287(g) authority. Through our 287g program in our jail, we have a 48 hour hold to allow ICE agents to take custody of those who have been identified as being in the country illegally. Our primary responsibility is to protect the people of Pinal County. We will continue to support our federal partners in any way that we can to ensure the safety and security of our communities and our citizens.
Sheriff Mark Lamb has both experience in law enforcement and the private sector. He trained with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Academy and was named Valedictorian of his class. He was hired by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, where he excelled as a police officer and was named Rookie of the Year. The following year, he received the Officer of the Year award. He was later promoted as a Detective to the Gang Enforcement Unit and in his first year was named Detective of the Year.
As a constitutional conservative, Mark has strong convictions and is courageous in fighting for the citizens he serves. Mark believes strongly in our Republic and our Constitution, he is a strong supporter of our 2nd Amendment rights and the enforcement of all of our laws, including those that pertain to fighting illegal immigration, and he is determined to protect the rights and freedoms of the people whom he serves.

fighting back against the left's non stop attacks on liberty, freedom. And America, America. This is don't tread on liberty. Jason Davis is on the air.

Jason Davis:

Hey, welcome back to don't tread on liberty. Thanks for being here. Jason Davis back more information that you need to know. Let's see what Joe Biden screwed up today and talk about everything that's going on. One of my favorite guests that we've talked to in the past is back for now, county sheriff Mark lamb is here, Sheriff, good to see you. How have you been?

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

Good to see you do, brother? I've

Jason Davis:

been good. Awesome. Yes, I can see that. You've been very busy. The big fentanyl bust. I saw that on the news. And I mean, the border is just wide open. I mean, in the last time we talked, it was the same, it was the same story. What's the current situation on the border? And why isn't anything getting done?

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

Well, it's jacked up. And it's nothing's getting done because we have a terrible presidency, a terrible administration who doesn't put America first? Who doesn't respect the American people and have a who I believe we're trying to undermine the rule of law and change America? Look in 2020, they didn't. They said, We want to reinvent America. I don't know what the American people thought they meant by reinventing America. I took it as a as an affront to this country. And I was right. I mean, they're trying to do strength. Frankly, I think they're just trying to destroy this country. The rule of law happens to be one of those ways to do it. It's the key thing to this country.

Jason Davis:

Yeah. And you're right on target with that. Now, we'll get into that a little bit here. But staying with the border for a second, some states have started to to take it upon themselves. I think Texas is trying to build a wall. And you know, Arizona, I mean, Governor Ducey supposedly was going to use guardsman to help and all of this. I don't really see much being done. I mean, what's his anything being done on the local level in Arizona to protect the Arizona

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

border? Well, it's not what people think. I mean, yes, Governor Ducey has put out the guardsmen, but you got to remember, a lot of Guardsmen are not straight up soldiers. I mean, they are soldiers, but they're not combat guys. A lot of these guys are accountants, clerks, equipment, people, lots of different positions within the military, which aren't necessarily what we would call like, a combat position or infantry, like 82nd airborne or a 101st airborne division. So these, so when people think, Oh, we're gonna put the send the national guard down there, this is people at different positions, and but they have been very helpful. I don't want to take away from that, because they've been monitoring cameras down south and coachees. County and Yuma county. You know, we've had them helping in our jails, we've had them helping dispatch, we've had them helping with Intel. So there's been some upside to that. And I think the governor is trying to do what he can, but a lot of people just think, because the governor says he's gonna put National Guard out there, they think soldiers with guns are gonna be on the border. There are some soldiers out there Manning some of the the sensors and cameras out on the border as well. It's just not what people think it is. Isn't it amazing

Jason Davis:

that, you know, Joe Biden wants to send Border Patrol to Ukraine's border, but he won't, he won't secure our own border. Isn't that insane?

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

But I think that should tell the American people exactly what they think. If they wanted to secure the border, they could they understand how important it is to secure a border, because that's why they want to secure Ukraine's border. But they, it makes me believe even more, I already believed it before. But it just cements in me, the fact that they don't want to secure the border. They want to undermine the rule of law, they want to create chaos for us here. They want to bring in a whole influx of new voters that they think are going to vote for them. They truly want to reinvent America and change the face of it. And so it shouldn't be a surprise anymore at this point for the American people that they don't want us to protect our border.

Jason Davis:

Yeah, you're absolutely right. Again, the Constitution is under attack. They are trying to change America, they're attacking the Constitution in every way possible. This Vax thing, then they got they're coming after to a like you can't believe. And then we have this digital ID they want to roll out. So you know, I mean, who knows what they're planning with that. And then, you know, the thing is, I don't see any of this in Article One, Section eight, which gives the Feds their power. So, you know, you hinted at the 2020 election. I mean, it appears that there's pretty significant problem in our voting integrity. So according to the Arizona audit, and you know, I mean, so if voting isn't real, I mean, you can't just vote them out anymore, right? Or we can't really trust that. What are we supposed to do about all this?

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

Well, you can still vote him out. I don't want people to think that their vote is that The effort is futile. We can, you know, we do have some work we need to do. We've got to clean up some voter rolls, we got to make sure that people aren't ballot dumping in these drop boxes, we've got a lot of different things, asking somebody to show their ID is not racist and Shame on those people for for making it a race issue. I mean, to me, that belittles that particular race saying that they don't have the wherewithal to go and get an ID. Look, mode majority of the people in this country, almost everybody has an ID, you can't send your kid up for Little League without showing proof of ID, you can't, they want you to have a VAX card to go eat, but they can they could care less whether you provide any ID to vote. So their their idea is, is ridiculous. And here's the other thing. These are the same people that were crying foul four years ago and two years ago claiming that the elections were not just that there was fraud going on. So that all the sudden they don't want to say it because the person they wanted to win is now in power. But yeah, we have a lot of work to do. But don't discount your voice vote, please get out and vote, but be active, be a precinct committee members show up to the polls, help out make sure that these folks aren't running roughshod over the voting system.

Jason Davis:

You saw what they did what they're trying to do the PCs, right. They passed the law, they wrote a law. It went through the House and the Senate and Governor Ducey signed it all in the same day that took the election piece out of the precinct committeeman position. So now, by law, they're all appointed by the GOP. I mean, you talk about an attack on the grassroots. I mean, that's insane.

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

And just to put it into context of why I think it's important that people understand why they're doing that, because they changed the congressional districts as well. And in many ways, there's not enough time to go in and vote in new precinct committee members, because all of those changes, even within our county were forced to change our county districts as well. And we have to do it by law. The law states that we have to do it. So I understand what they're trying to do. I don't like that it pushed through so quickly. I think a lot of people were pushing back on it, because these were people that were elected to represent their districts their precincts. So yeah. I don't love how that played out. And I'm not I don't know that I have an answer for people. But I do understand why they're trying to change it because the congressional districts also change this year. So there is some some logistical issues that we need to figure out.

Jason Davis:

Yeah, I mean, I know that's what they say. I just I, I mean, I'm not as I'm not as forgiving with these people anymore.

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

I don't like the fact that they ran the bill. I really don't. They didn't talk to anybody. Like I didn't hear any discussion on it. Nothing. All of a sudden, I just heard that it passed. And so I don't love it. I understand that changes have to be made. But I thought there would be a little bit more thought process put into, it's not like you didn't know, they knew for 10 years that this was going to be the year that those would change, you would think that they would have done something prior to fix the precinct committee member thing for this year. But it's government. Yeah. Oh,

Jason Davis:

yeah. And then and as you mentioned, talk about knowing about things. I mean, they know what they're doing with these these Vax mandates and all this. And, you know, we can't even they had to introduce some legislation to prevent all this stuff here in Arizona, but they you they can't even get it out of committee, or they can't even get a hearing on it, or we can't get the votes or Republicans vote against it. I mean, I mean, I don't know who I mean, all Democrats should support blocking vaccine mandates. I mean, this is a really the civil rights issue of our time, they're going full speed ahead, creating a second tier or second class citizen. Isn't that what the civil rights movement was all about?

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

Yes, it wasn't. Can you imagine if President Trump had been the one pushing the vaccine mandates, these folks would have lost their damn minds. There's no way they would have done it. But it's all about politics. It's all about who's in charge and who, what, who you voted for? Because they voted for these people. And then there's that margin and people that are just have been completely bamboozled by the media and by propaganda to believe something that isn't necessarily true or doesn't have the statistics to support it. I look, I'm not saying don't whatever, you want to get a vaccine, get a vaccine. You don't don't. But we it's not the government's place to mandate it. And it shouldn't be treating, you shouldn't be treating anybody any different because they chose not to get a vaccine or to get a vaccine for that matter. I don't. Everybody should be able to make their own medical choices. I don't know why in the world, we're even at a point in this country where we even have to discuss that.

Jason Davis:

But it's unbelievable. It's all over the world, the same story, you know, makes you kind of think there's something else going on, you know,

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

there's always something else going on. That's the thing. There's always something else going on.

Jason Davis:

Now you prohibited this. So You protected your employees from a vaccine mandate. Kudos to you, sheriff. Thank you. If if they try to institute some sort of vaccine mandate, will you intercede for your citizens in Pinal? County?

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

Absolutely. Look, I can't control private businesses, I can't do that. Just as much me, constitutionally protecting your rights, I also have to protect the rights of businesses to run their business the way they want to. And I hope that people understand that there's, that's a double edged sword. But as it relates to anything else, we're not going to be asking people for, I will come down hard on anybody that's asking for vaccine passports or any of that stuff. I think it's ridiculous. And we're not going to do it at our agency. And I hope that people start to push back against it. Look, there's a lot of information coming out about the ill effects that this is having on people who have been vaccinated. Now there, I saw an article today that they're saying that there needs to be a fourth booster. Look, folks, I don't care what it is, when you put it in your body, it's gonna change you, it is going to change you in some way, shape, or form. And when you put a vaccine, and then three, four boosters in there, it is changing your body in some way, shape, or form. And so I would just caution you please,

Jason Davis:

over for you, over over 2 million adverse reactions are recorded in the virus database, the government database, then more than what we have with COVID. Yeah. And and get this. That's the database that they that they say only gets about 1% of the actual events. So this is not looking very good. All right, Sheriff, last question. You are bringing law enforcement back to the TV set. You know, we had the show of cops, and I used to watch that show and loved it. Well, now there's American Sheriff TV. Tell us about that.

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

Yeah, we wanted to give the voice back to law enforcement took our voice away. We thought what better way to put it out back out there, get you back in the front seat of our cars. And we'll do it in the way we would get to you to know you get to know the sheriff's from across this country. Real sheriff's real stories and their deputies. We've been down for a couple months on filming. We you can still see what we filmed already. But we're filming again now. We went down. We're working on some changes within American chef network. We hope to even maybe go live this year. So there's a lot of things we're trying to do to give the consumer the customer a better idea of what we do but in the end it's about giving a voice back to the law enforcement. But you can check it out at American Sheriff calm.

Jason Davis:

I love it American Sheriff calm. Author, constitutional patriot, Bunnell County Sheriff Mark lamb Thank you very much.

Sheriff Mark Lamb:

Thank you, brother. I appreciate you have me on as always, God bless. God bless you.
